*The Church traditionally prays certain mysteries on certain days of the week.

11. Repeat this pattern for remaining decades

Prayers of the Rosary

  • Sign of the Cross
    In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen

    The Apostles’ Creed
    I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day, he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

    The Our Father

    Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

    Hail Mary

Joyful–Monday, Saturday

1. The Annunciation

2. The Visitation
Mary set out and traveled to the hill country in haste to a town of Judah, where she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. - Luke 1:39-40  Fruit of the mystery: Love of Neighbor

3. The Nativity
"She gave birth to her first born son. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger." - Luke 2:7 Fruit of the mystery: Welcome all birth

 4. The Presentation
"When the days were completed for their purification, according to the law of Moses, they took him up to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord." - Luke 2:22 Fruit of the mystery: Purity of Heart and Mind

5. The Finding in the Temple"

Sorrowful–Tuesday, Friday

1. The Agony in the Garden
“Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, 'Sit here while I go over there and pray.' He took along Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to feel sorrow and distress. Then he said to them, 'My soul is sorrowful even to death. Remain here and keep watch with me.' 2. The Scourging at the Pillar

3. The Crowning of Thorns

1. The Baptism of Christ in the Jordan
“After Jesus was baptized, he came up from the water and behold, the heavens were opened [for him], and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove [and] coming upon him. 2. The Wedding Feast at Cana
“On the third day there was a wedding in Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding. 3. Jesus’ Proclamation of the Coming of the Kingdom of God
